  • Our first concern is always the health and safety of the participants and audience members of our events. As part of nationwide efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, Third Way and Environmental Defense Fund are postponing this reception honoring Chairwoman Eddie Bernice Johnson with the Climate Innovator Award, originally scheduled to take place Tuesday, March 31.

We will schedule a new date for this event once we have further guidance from public health officials.

When you think about climate leadership, who comes to mind? If Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson isn’t toward the top of your list, she should be.

Since taking the gavel last year, Chairwoman Johnson has made climate solutions a priority across the House Science, Space and Technology Committee’s jurisdiction. This includes shepherding a dozen bills to advance research and development across a wide range of clean energy technologies that can help the US hit ambitious emissions goals.

In recognition of her leadership and commitment to creative and inclusive climate solutions, Third Way and Environmental Defense Fund are excited to present Congresswoman Johnson with the inaugural Climate Innovator Award. Please join us as we acknowledge her contribution to one of the most important policy efforts of our time.
