Third Way and the National Urban League Announce the Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunity

WASHINGTON, DC—Three years ago, Third Way and the National Urban League joined forces to create the Alliance for Entrepreneurial Equity with the goal of elevating awareness of the barriers facing underrepresented entrepreneurs. Today, the two organizations are building on that important work by creating the Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunity (CEO). CEO will develop and advance federal policies that dramatically increase the opportunity for all disadvantaged entrepreneurs to start and expand successful businesses. Its research will continue to enrich the national conversation on the needs of small- and medium-sized firms and advance practical federal policy solutions.

The initiative has facilitated crucial dialogues between lawmakers, policy experts, and entrepreneurs nationwide. And it has developed a comprehensive policy agenda to enhance business creation and growth opportunities. CEO will continue this critical work, advancing federal policies that improve access to capital, markets, and resources for disadvantaged entrepreneurs to thrive.
