Political Climate's Path to Zero
Climate change is a defining issue of our time. From student protests to corporate boardrooms, climate change has taken center stage in a global conversation on what the future will look like. Here in the United States, if climate isn’t already on a policymaker’s agenda, it will be soon.
The goal to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 is animating lawmakers and activists as the science-based target that the country must hit to avoid the worst impacts of a warming world. But what does it really take to get to zero?
That’s what we plan to explore over the next six months with the hosts of Political Climate in a new podcast series called Path to Zero.
This series looks at how people are being affected by the transition to cleaner energy resources, and the economic challenges and opportunities created in the process. It examines the technologies and policies we will need to implement to drive down carbon emissions, and the politics driving this dialogue.
Path to Zero episodes will air monthly on Political Climate, a bipartisan podcast on energy and environmental issues, produced in partnership with the USC Schwarzenegger Institute. Be part of this critical conversation -- listen and subscribe to our new Path to Zero series on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play, or wherever you get podcasts!
