No Labels’ Extremism: In Their Own Words

The extremely dubious claims by No Labels that their third-party ticket can win the 2024 election outright are now well documented. The basis for their “real and viable path” to 270 electoral votes is a fantasy map, and countless independent election analysts have concluded a third party cannot win but would very likely spoil the election for Donald Trump.
What is less well known is how extreme the rhetoric of this purportedly centrist organization has become. Here is No Labels in their own words plotting to exploit faithless electors in 2024, parroting Trump attacks on Biden and Democrats, and pedaling disinformation to paint Joe Biden as a radical and minimize Donald Trump’s extremism.
No Labels' Delusion Knows No Bounds
No Labels believes only they can protect America…
No Labels is “the only entity in the country actually positioning itself to protect America from the [re-election of Donald Trump].”
– Margaret White, The Hill (May 15, 2023)
And they will do so by encouraging faithless electors.
“There’s actually an opportunity before the House meets in the electoral college where there are a surprising number of states that don’t have bound electors, so if a No Labels ticket won some electoral votes, they could use that as a bargaining chip to get some support from one of the major party nominees.”
– Ryan Clancy, CNN (May 27, 2023)
They’re seeking ballot access as “The No Labels Party.” But claim they’re not a political party...
“We’re not a party…We’re getting ballot access in the 50 states, and we will never run a campaign”—and registering as a political party in the states is “just language. We are not functioning [as a party]. We are one ticket, one time.”
– Nancy Jacobson, NBC News (July 18, 2023)
...And that hiding their donors is what the public wants.
“[People don’t] really want to see the donors.”
– Nancy Jacobson, NBC News (July 18, 2023)
No Labels Parrots Trump Talking Points
President Biden is a radical or is under the control of radicals…
“[Biden and Democrats] are getting beholden to the extreme voices in the Democratic Party… [Biden and Democrats] really listening to the loudest voices and trying to please the loudest voices.”
– Nancy Jacobson, Literary Hub (August 4, 2022)
“I do believe the left—AOC, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren—controls the Democratic party. I don't believe there is any center left there either.”
– Nancy Jacobson, Literary Hub (August 4, 2022)
The January 6 Committee must be dismissed as a “partisan exercise”...
“Despite an early attempt at bipartisanship, the January 6 Committee’s work has become a partisan exercise about which the public is skeptical.”
– No Labels Twitter, (May 18, 2022)
Biden won't make it across the finish line and will be replaced by a radical left-winger...
“What if voters are so concerned about the prospect of Vice President Harris taking over that they simply won’t support Biden? What if he steps aside as a candidate and the Democrats nominate Harris, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), or someone else who is too extreme to win? What if there is a massive recession? What if Biden keeps the nomination but is implicated in a corruption scandal involving his son?”
– Margaret White, The Hill (May 15, 2023)
No Labels says Trump and Biden are the Same…
They say they are morally equivalent...
“Joe Biden has failed to bring the nation together and sits with an approval rating in the low 40s while he attacks the MAGA Republicans as anti-democratic and ‘semi-fascist.’ Donald Trump is mired in fights with virtually everyone, stirring a populist base, but turning off the swing suburban voters who will decide the next election.” If either Trump or Biden get elected, “the country would lose. It would be no closer to healing its wounds or solving its problems.”
– Margaret White, The Hill (April 7, 2023)
They say Biden’s legal jeopardy is comparable to Trump’s...
“We have two very unpopular potential nominees, and both [Joe Biden & Donald Trump] are potentially facing very serious legal troubles.”
– Larry Hogan, CNN (July 21, 2023)
Biden has done nothing for moderates...
“Democrats have done nothing to court these moderates.”
– Joe Cunningham, The Post & Courier (May 12, 2023)
And that Trump was a “problem solver.”
“[Trump got their problem solver award in 2016 because he] solved some problems and he didn’t solve others. Just like every other politician in Washington, DC.”
– Holly Page, KUSA-TV (June, 26, 2023)
