Destine currently serves as the Director of Government Personnel, where she is tasked with overseeing the establishment and management of a talent bank aimed at identifying, advocating for, and promoting exceptional center left candidates for various government positions, including those within Democratic administrations, congressional offices and committees, and political campaigns. She plays a critical leadership role in developing a fundamental aspect of an expanded and more resilient centrist Democratic infrastructure, with a focus on investments in communication, organization, and recruitment.
Prior to her current role at Third Way, Destine has held several notable positions within the Biden-Harris Administration. She served as the White House Liaison at the U.S. Small Business Administration, Deputy White House Liaison at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and as an Associate Director in the White House's Office of Presidential Personnel. In addition to her work within the administration, Destine has also gained valuable experience through her involvement in the Biden campaign. She has served as the South Carolina Deputy Operations Director, Florida Operations Director, and National Southern Regional Operations Director. Additionally, Destine has made significant contributions to the local and state political arenas. Destine's accomplishments have been acknowledged through various accolades, including being named among Columbia Business Monthly's Best and Brightest 35 & under (2021), receiving the Honorary South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus Member Spotlight (2021), and being honored with Jack and Jill of America's Presidential Legacy Award (2022).
Destine obtained her bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia College, and a master’s degree from Webster University. When she isn’t binging a favorite show, she is enjoying and spending time with her family and friends. She resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband, Brandon.
