This study estimates the savings to Medicare, Medicaid, private health insurance (PHI) and out-of-pocket (OOP) from using market-based pricing for bundled payments.
In summary, projected savings to Medicare total $9.1 billion over the 10-year period (2017-2026) and projected savings to Medicaid, PHI and OOP total $0.0 billion, $11.1 billion, and $4.2 billion respectively.
