As Senior Fellow for Digital and Rapid Response, Carson oversees the online presence of Third Way's Climate and Energy program. During the 2024 election cycle, Carson served as Digital Director for Congresswoman Andrea Salinas' (D-OR) reelection campaign. He previously worked at a marketing agency in Austin, where he managed social media accounts for a variety of clients—from a clean energy coalition to a BBQ company. Raised in the small rural community of West Columbia, Texas, Carson is no stranger to navigating ideological differences. While his high school classmates were busy with typical extracurriculars, Carson met and picked the brains of his local elected officials. An honors graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, he holds a B.A. in government and a B.S. in political communication. In his free time, Carson enjoys cheering on his Longhorns, thrifting, and watching Shondaland shows with his dog Betsy.
