Ed Owen

Ed Owen is a Visiting Fellow, working with the Third Way team to support engagement and partnerships with the UK’s policy and political community as part of the think tank’s work on energy and climate change, countering populist extremism and championing modern center-left ideas in the US and beyond. Now based in Washington DC, Ed was a key aide to Jack Straw as Home Secretary (1997-2001) and Foreign Secretary (2001-2005) in the UK and brings extensive knowledge and understanding of British politics and the Labour Party. He helped found The Power Test podcast and is a regular commentator on US/UK issues for the LabourList website.
