Timothy is the current Economic Fellow at Third Way, working to support economic projects throughout the office. As a student at Carnegie Mellon University, Timothy studied how policy stimulates economic activity. Upon graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a major in Economics and Statistics, he worked as a contracting specialist for the TSA. At the TSA, he experienced how governmental agencies use policy and regulations to enact their priorities, which helped him develop an appreciation for the complexities of government administration.
Combining his understanding of how citizens and agencies interact with policy, Timothy was inspired to help develop policies aimed at improving the quality of life for all citizens. To further this goal, Timothy decided to go back to school, earning an M.A. in Economics from Duke University. At Duke he worked closely with the Wilson Center on developing a plan to measure the impact of new policies being rolled out to improve the plea deal system.
Additionally, Timothy worked alongside esteemed faculty to work through the intricacies of the gun market. When he’s not at Third Way, Timothy can be found hiking around D.C.’s natural parks or discovering null results for good cookie ideas in his kitchen.
